October 2, 2004
We have received many, but are still waiting for some answers to our questionnaires, and it looks like more than a few will be missing the October 4th deadline. We will extend the deadline until October 31st, so please try your best to get them in.
Also, Poeticks Forum Project is in progress. Refer to our most current journal entry, forum entry, or poetry tier news article for details, and feel free to contribute.
As well, we are still looking for volunteers for write-ups on individual Poetic Movements. This has no set deadline, but movements are picked first-come-first-served. Please note us if interested.

Poeticks has been raised to senior member status.
We thank you very much for your support; it gives us renewed energy to pursue our cause. We hope we will not disappoint any in the dA writing community.
The new forum feature will be now used for the Poeticks' Forum Project elaborated below.

The 9/6 deadline has passed. 86 writers have shown the will to participate in this compilation, and we thank you all.
We will now be looking forward to receiving the answers to the first set of questions we have sent. They are due on the 20th of September (that is only two weeks away now).
Also, in cooperation with literary administrators, we are now in the process of planning the creation of journal entries covering various discussion topics that have over time become redundant on the poetry forums, in hopes of decreasing the amount of unproductive discussions. Further information on this project have been stated here forum.deviantart.com/galleries… and we would like to hear your opinion on the matter.
Thank you.

There was a slight edit made to our submission "Poetics: On Angst 1 of 2" because of some punctuation marks not showing properly after the dAv4 introduction. Sorry for the inconvenience.
A reminder:
Deadline for confirmation of participation: September 6
Deadline for answers to first set of questions: September 20

The first set of questions has been sent to those who have replied with their will to participate. Deadline for the replies will be September 20th. We will contact those who are willing but unable at the moment with these same questions in the beginning of September. Please note us if you'd rather receive the questions now.

On second thought, because some of you may be busy in September with the new school season starting, we will be sending out our first round of questions earlier than scheduled to give you more time to organize your replies. Questions will go to those who have answered with an affirmative, within a couple of days. Questions will wait for those who have stated that they will be on vacation or will not be be available until September.

We are now taking attendance. We have sent out notes of confirmation to hundreds of writers to determine their will to participate and lend their thoughts, knowledge and skills to our next project. The deadline for replies is set for the 6th of September.
Some of you have asked what exactly you're being asked to do. For the moment, we just ask those who are willing to participate to sit tight until September when hopefully we'll have all the replies in, and all the specifics ready to roll so we may all start on the same foot. The details are still in the works, and will be revealed when ready to be revealed.

POETICKS: ON IMAGERY FINALLY RELEASED
About
poeticks (https://www.deviantart.com/poeticks) is an old idea that has been kicked around by a few writers on deviantArt, created to collect the answers to fundamental questions such as "What is poetry?" and "How does one write poetry?" which each individual keeps in their own minds, and adheres to, and hones, and in many cases is constrained to (perhaps consciously, perhaps unconsciously).
This is a community, and as members, all have certain expectations of certain interactions, perhaps a hope of sublimation by the convergence of each of their talents and thoughts.
Our objective is to collect the words and wisdom, tho

Angst. People admire and despise, protest and support, immerse in and shun, indifferently yawn, while holding very firm opinions as their respective buttons are pressed when they hear the word "angst". As a starting point of Poeticks, we have decided to take up the differing opinions from inside DeviantArt, to lay out those arguments for all of you to read. Please keep in mind that these are "your" thoughts, as they are, and you are completely free to agree or disagree. Our objective is not to push forth an ultimate commandment, but rather to present to you the many (and often times conflicting) opinions we have rec

An idea
To get things rolling, writing about two conflicting elements of or in a city, and there must be a bridge in it or must take place by/near/under/etc. a bridge. You must also "bridge" the abovementioned conflict in what way you choose.
Scrap the idea if you like, but start writing if its okay. Maybe we'll need 2 or 3 more people to join up and we'll see where it goes once there's some sort of written base that we can try to weave together.

Eventually, I'd like to get this account moving with pieces that cover what needs to be known by the writing community. Be it by the average poets that have kicked dust around for the past three yea
